Like all Thai towns, there are sizzling snacks and tempting treats available on every street corner in Krabi. Most stalls sell items that are easy to take away and devour while ambling around town, but there are also street food dishes which require sitting down at a table to enjoy.

Kanom jeen is one dish sold on the streets by vendors with tables and chairs. The dish consists of white rice noodles topped with a coconut fish curry sauce and eaten with a selection of fresh vegetables, herbs and leaves.

Noodle soup (guitiaow) is also available on the streets of Krabi. There are different types available as some vendors use egg noodles, while others use rice noodles. There is also the option of dumplings. Even if you can’t speak Thai just point and the vendor will understand you want to try some.

By late evening a number of sweet snack vendors set up shop along the street, often with portable televisions showing football or other live events. Here you can enjoy tea with sweet milk (cha nom) and toasted bread with a thick custard-like spread (kanom pang ping).
